Author's POV,

That old man was none other than Harish, Avni's grandfather. He had been working for them for the last two years. They reached the mansion and entered inside.

Harish asked Avyay," Chhote sahab I'll serve you the food."

"No I am not hungry. I already ate on the flight." Avyay said.

"But kaka, I am very hungry. He is not a human being, leave him." Tanish came from nowhere.

"Aaja beta. I'll serve it." Shabir smiled and said.

"I got reached. Harish kaka had come to pick me up" Avyay called his mother.

"Okay theek hai. Dhyaan rakhna." Rani said from that side and exchange few words and cut the call.

After freshening up, Avyay stepped out of his room, dressed down in a way that was surprisingly casual for a man of his stature. He wore a crisp white T-shirt that fit him perfectly, highlighting his broad shoulders and toned chest without being overly snug.

He paired it with tailored beige shorts that ended just above his knees, showcasing his strong, well-defined legs. The relaxed yet polished look suited the humid weather of Assam, making him look effortlessly stylish. On his feet, he wore brown leather sandals, simple but undeniably high-end, adding a touch of luxury to the outfit.

His hazel eyes scanned the surroundings with sharp focus, the golden flecks catching the afternoon sunlight streaming in through the windows. His hair was slightly damp, styled back casually, with a few rebellious strands falling onto his forehead, giving him an air of effortless charm.

The faint scent of his signature cologne-a warm blend of cedarwood and amber-lingered in the air, subtle yet captivating. Even in this laid-back attire, there was no mistaking the commanding aura that surrounded him. Avyay Rathore could make even beige shorts look like a power statement.

After hours of traveling and settling into the unfamiliar environment of Assam, Avyay finally allowed himself to rest. He rarely indulged in naps, but the exhaustion of the day weighed on him. He lay on the large, comfortable bed in the guest room. The soft hum of the ceiling fan and the distant sounds of chirping birds outside created a soothing ambiance.

His hazel eyes fluttered closed as his body surrendered to the pull of fatigue. For once, his ever-alert mind seemed to be quiet, giving him a rare moment of peace.

Tanish entered his room.

Avyay, the man who always seemed larger than life, was sprawled on the bed, one arm resting over his forehead, the other loosely draped by his side. The billionaire CEO looked... human, almost approachable in this rare. His T-shirt had shifted slightly, revealing a hint of his defined collarbone, and the relaxed expression on his face was a stark contrast to the sharp intensity he usually carried.

He tapped on his shoulder,"Oyee get up.You had enough beauty sleep, Sir"

Avyay jolted awake, his eyes snapping open with the annoyance,"Tanish" he growled. His voice deadly calm," Do you have a dead wish?"

Tanish grinned unapologetically. "I mean, you look great, but we've got things to do! Fresh air, boss. You'll thank me later."

"No I don't want to go." He again closed his eyes.

"Okayy sleep." Tanish got up dramatically.

Avyay held Tanish's wrist.

"Zyada mat kar chal." Avyay said.

"I knew. Tum mujhe mana nhi karoge." Tanish grinned.

After a few moments of grumbling and a quick freshen-up, Avyay asked, "Where to go?"

"Chai peene."Tanish said

Avyay rarely let anyone dictate his actions, but today, for reasons even he couldn't explain, he had agreed to Tanish's relentless persuasion to take the wheel. He wasn't exactly thrilled about it, but the quiet roads of Assam provided some solace.

Tanish lounged in the passenger seat, feet propped up on the dashboard as he rambled about the beauty of Assam. "Sir, you should take some time to appreciate this place. Fresh air, peaceful vibes, no stress-"

"I'm driving, not sightseeing," Avyay interrupted, his deep voice cutting through Tanish's chatter.

Here Avni changed her clothes.

Avni asked Taru,"tumi ka'lai yab visara."

[Where do you want to go?"]

"chah khowa" Taru said.

[Let's drink tea]

Avni and Taru, carefree as ever, were zipping through the narrow lanes on Avni's old scooty. Taru, perched behind her, was animatedly recounting her latest classroom choas, her hands gesturing wilding as Avni laughed so hard she nearly missed a turn.

"Hold on or we'll end up in someone's vegetable cart." Avni exclaimed through her laughter.

"Relax Avni! you drive like a pro-oh wait, no you don't!" Taru teased, crackling.

Neither noticed the black car slowly turning onto the main road until it was late.

With a loud screech, Avni's scooty was about to collide with the car's side, sending both girls tumbling onto the pavement. The scooty wobbled to a stop, but the car remained unscratched a testament to its building.

The car door swung open and out stepped Avyay, excuding power gaze authority. His tall frame and piercing gaze immediately silenced the murmurs of the gathering crowd.

"Kamine, can't you drive properly?" Taru stormed.

"Well we should have said this." Tanish said coming out of the car

Avyay picked up the scooter and placed it on the side.

"Are you okay?" Avyay asked Avni who was still sitting looking at her injured elbow.

"Accha ji, Are you blind? can't you see my injury." She shouted. She injured herself as her elbow collide with the scooty's handlebar.

"If you ask, should I drop you home?" Avyay asked her.

On the other side.

"You are speaking like this even after hitting the car. Aren't you ashamed?" Taru shot.

"Why should I be ashamed when it is not our fault?" Tanish shot back.

"I'll see you later." Saying this,

she went to Avyay.

"Gadi ke malik ji, We want our scooty like before."

"If you had your eyes been focused on the road, the scooter would not have been in this condition today." Avyay said.

"They don't know how to drive scooty." Tanish added.

"Now you will teach me how to drive huhh?" Taru grind her teeth.

"Chup bilkul chup" Avni lost her patience and shouted to them.

All of them went silent and stared at her for a moment. She stood up on her own despite the injury.

"You are behaving like children. Don't fix my scooty and Taru let's leave from here." She held her wrist. They came near scooty. Avni made Taru to sit. Thankfully, the scooty's engine started and she was able to drive.

"But your elbow is bleeding" Tanish said while looking at her injury.

"Let it bleed, I'll drive." Saying this she drove.

As their scooty drove away, Tanish glanced at the Taru who was muttering something under her breath.

Tanish said to Avyay,"Pagal ladkiyan thi."

Avyay walking towards the car,"Hmm ... baith Jaa. Chalte hai."

They both came home and Taru was cleaning Avni's wound.

Taru said to Avni," Kamine log the."

"You shut up. You two were fighting like kids." Avni glare at her.

Harish returned from his work.

"Areyy, what happened to you?" He asked seeing the injury.

"Nothing we fell off the scooty," she replied.

"Must be talking while driving. Ok rest" Harish left them alone.

Avyay and tanish came back home.

One of his men,"Sir, that uncle has prepared dinner and left."

"Okay, let's have" He said.

"Gajab ki ladkiyan thi" Tanish was still blabbering the same.

"Will you shut your mouth or should I put a tape?" Avyay said irritably.

Tanish went quite. They all had their dinner.

Avyay to his men," Have you collected information about him?"

"Yes Sir, his location is showing nearby only."

"Okay, good you can now take a rest"

After that, they all dispersed to their room. Avyay made coffee for himself. There was a piles of documents scattered across the table. He sat in his usual spot, his sharp features carved with focus. The ticking of the clock on the wall was the only sound in the room as he reviewed financial reports and strategic plans.

Work was his sanctuary. It required no emotions, no connections - just logic , numbers and results. Nothing can distract him when he was in his zone.

Suddenly from nowhere, flashback of Avni crossed his mind. The way her hair blew with the air, the way she shouted at them, the way she stood up boldly, the way...wait.

He frowned, sitting back in his chair. The thought lingered, unwanted and persistent. He couldn't remember the last time something or someone- had intruded on his focus like this.

"Focus" he commanded himself, his voice echoing in the empty room.

He buried himself in his work, suppressing the thought of her.
